July 2023: Public meeting in Clonegal

Wednesday, 19th July from 18:00 until 20:00

BLL will be hosting a meeting in St.Brigids hall, Clonegal. Community members and local representatives are invited to attend and receive updates about the mineral exploration work being conducted by BLL in south Wicklow and east Carlow.

The event will be an open meeting where staff representing BLL will facilitate conversations with community members regarding the past three months preparations for the upcoming exploration drilling work at Moylisha Hill. The focus of the event will be to discuss.

  • The Environmental Screening done for the working area at Moylisha Hill.
  • Application for drilling permit being submitted to the Geoscience Regulations Office (GSRO).
  • The permit application being submitted to Coillte to operate within forestry.
  • Timeline for the drilling project.
  • The domestic drinking water and stream/river testing program setup by BLL.

The meeting will be open to all members of the public who wish to find out more about exploration at Moylisha and over the entire Avalonia project. Children may attend the event but must be under parental supervision. BLL would ask attendants not to allow children to play in the carpark of St.Brigids hall for the duration of the meeting.
